Best Buy Teen Tech Center

Dallas Park and Recreation Department's Best Buy Teen Tech Center is an innovative, creative, out-of-school learning space where young people, ages 12 - 17, can work with adult mentors to develop new skills, explore their own ideas, and build confidence in themselves through the use of technology.

Our Teen Tech Center is a proud member of the Clubhouse Network and is located at Juanita J. Craft Recreation Center in Southeast Dallas. This space dedicated to teens where we encourage youth to drop by to engage with mentors, embark on new projects, and learn in a safe, friendly and open environment.

Check out the Grammy Camp Video that the youth made at Grammy Camp 2016 that was hosted at the Teen Tech Center.

What do our members do at the Teen Tech Center?

The Teen Tech Center @ Juanita J. Craft Recreation Center is a creative space where youth can work on the projects they are passionate about and gain the skills they need to advance in the world of technology. We focus on a vast range of technology career fields such as Graphic Designer, Fashion Designer, 3D Animator, Game Developer, Music Producer, Movie Director, Inventor, Music/Movie Editor, Robotics, Engineering and much more.

Our state of the art facility has a recording studio with a sound booth and editing studio, movie production equipment, along with computers with all the latest technology needed to create the projects that will turn your dream into reality!

As a member of The Clubhouse Network, we realize that young people learn best when they can work on projects that they are passionate about and actively engage in designing, creating, and inventing – not just passively receiving information.

Our learning approach is designed to empower youth from all backgrounds to become more capable, creative, and confident learners. Members can drive their own projects according to their interests and ideas, while our staff and mentors provide support and assistance.

No prior computer skills are necessary!
