Latest Update:

July 18, 2018 3:16 PM

The e-coli level of the lake water at Kidd Springs Park is on the high end and park staff are taking efforts to reduce the e-coli levels through additional water aeration, routine water testing and resource management, which will include the relocation of 2/3 of the domestic waterfowl to other locations. Park staff and the city’s wildlife contractor initiated phase one of the waterfowl relocation on the morning of July 18th. There will be additional waterfowl relocation within the next few weeks. In addition, staff have posted signage around the lake prohibiting the feeding of waterfowl, which is a direct cause of the poor water quality of the lake.
