Come be part of the largest Citizen Science biological survey efforts in the City of Dallas!
The Dallas Park and Recreation Department is participating in the "2018 DFW City Nature Challenge" and we need help from all of our Citizen Scientist! Be a part of the largest Citizen Science biological survey efforts in the City of Dallas. Our goal through the City Nature Challenge - BioBlitz event is to contribute 10,000 observations to the overall 2018 DFW City Nature Challenge. We are hosting 3 separate events in late April (Crawford Park, LB Houston, & Emerald Lake Park) where participants will use their smart phones to help collect observations of different plants, animals, and insects found in these parks that have very unique natural features. Come learn about nature, and help record the biological diversity in our city's parks and improve natural resource management decisions. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing appropriate for going into the woods. Please come with iNaturalist app loaded on your smart device. Click HERE to register!
