Our Recreation Center summer camps are for children ages 5 to 12 years of age. Children must be 5 years of age as of 9/1 of the current school year. Children will be broken into groups based on ages. Some Recreation Center locations offer teen camps for youth ages 13 to 17. Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) camps are for children ages 6 to 12 years of age and Send A Kid To Camp sites accept children ages 6 to 15.
Recreation Center camp hours are Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Community Development Block Grant camp hours are Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Send A Kid To Camp hours are Monday - Thursday 9:30am - 3:30pm. Please know, all camps are closed July 4th.
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Send A Kid To Camp (SAKTC) sites are not available for online registration.
Dallas Park and Recreation Department offers and hosts a variety of sports for youth of all ages. Most sports programs begin at the age of 4 and are offered through the age of 14.
The cost for a child to participate in the Youth Sports program begins at $40 per individual. Price includes a uniform top with a number for each child. No equipment is included in the cost per individual.
A player’s age is determined as of September 1st of the current school year. Each sport is divided into age divisions based on every two years. Divisions are ages 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14.
