Janie C. Turner Recreation Center located in South Dallas was formerly Pemberton Hill Recreation Center. In 1980, the facility was renamed Janie C. Turner Recreation Center in honor of Janie C. Turner a life-long resident of the Pemberton Hill community. The recreation center's membership activities encompass all ages from youth to adults: karate, youth dance instruction, after school program, adult fitness classes and senior activities.
