Despite challenges created by the pandemic, the Dallas Park and Recreation Department continued to provide families and communities with quality parks, leisure programs and recreational facilities. Our most notable accomplishments have been captured in our newly produced Dallas Park and Recreation Department 2020-2021 Annual Report. I invite you to read about our progress at Park and Recreation Annual Report.
Through photos and infographics, this four-color digital publication vividly captures how our parks, maintenance and conservation programs, financial and economic impact and recreational activities create desirable and livable communities. It showcases the contributions our employees collectively make every day when we provide diverse leisure and recreational activities for the 30 million citizens and visitors who picnic at a park, visit recreation centers, hike and bike on a trail, play a round of golf, make waves at Bahama Beach Waterpark and much more. The commitment of park employees to the citizens and visitors of Dallas has resulted in the department earning national accreditation in the park and recreation industry.
Dallas Park and Recreation appreciates your support and longtime partnership. Our collaboration has expanded Dallas’ park system with new recreation initiatives, parks, trails and green spaces. Together, we are ensuring that Dallas families and communities have access to more equitable and diverse recreational and leisure options.
