Join Dallas Park and Recreation on Monday, April 8, 2024 at Samuell Farm to watch the 2024 eclipse safely! Samuell Farm, located just outside of Dallas (in Mesquite), is in the direct path of the eclipse and will experience 4 minutes and 7.6 seconds of complete darkness.
We are planning a fun and educational multi-day event to really enjoy this once in a lifetime occurrence, so check back often for updates.
We will have overnight camping taking place April 6-8, 2023. Camping spaces will be available in 4 different options in designated areas and sold as a 2-night package:
- Primitive Camping: 50 spaces
- $100/2nights
- Campers provide their own tent
- Park in general parking area and walk to site
- Specialty Camping
- $160/ 2 nights
- Outdoor Adventures provides tent + 2 cots
- Park in general parking and walk to site
- 20x20 Space
- $200/ 2 nights
- Car + tent only
- 20X40 Space
- $250/ 2 nights
- Limited to 1 tow vehicle + 1 trailer maximum
- No class A motorhomes
- Self-contained (no hookups/dumping or generators allowed)
- Entire vehicle length must fit within designated space Limit 6 persons/site.
Check-in: Saturday at 12 pm Check-out Monday af 6 pm
All overnight camping includes access to daily activities, group cooking area and comfort stations.
