Virtual Learning Hubs

Dallas Park and Recreation Department is excited to extend our Recreation Centers to the students of Dallas as Virtual Learning Hubs! 

What is a Virtual Learning Hub?

Virtual Learning Hubs (VLHs) are supervised work spaces for students in 1st - 6th grade to participate in their virtual classrooms. Recreation Staff will be there to assist with technical difficulties and to keep students focused on their classwork. Recreation activities will be provided during classroom downtime.

When do VLHs take place?

Virtual Learning Hubs begin on Tuesday, September 8, 2020.  VLH will run Monday - Friday from 7:30am - 5:30pm. Registered participants will arrive daily with their face masks, lunch, required technology, headphones, and school supplies and join in their virtual classes.  *Please note that the program hours may change or program may discontinue based on community COVID19 case numbers.

Who can participate in VLHs?

VLHs are open to registered students in 1st through 6th grade that live within the City of Dallas. Participants must have a valid Dallas Recreation Card which may be obtained at your local recreation center. Must register in person. Space is limited due to COVID19 safety precautions.
