    Overview: Nancy Lieberman Charities, in partnership with WorldVentures Foundation and Sport Court, have teamed with the Dallas Police Department to provide Dallas Strong Dream Courts to underserved areas across Dallas. These state of the art play spaces will provide a bridge for the relationship between Dallas Police Officers, and the communities they serve to protect. Court Donors: Louise Thaxton, on behalf of Fairway Independent Mortgage Company and The American Warrior Initiative. Attendees include former City of Dallas Police Chief David O.   12. 2016 Zaxby's Heart of Dallas Bowl (University of North Texas vs. Army Westpoint)

    The North Texas Mean Green and Army West Point Black Knights have officially accepted invitations to play in the 2016 Zaxby’s Heart of Dallas Bowl, Brant Ringler, the bowl’s executive director, announced Sunday. The seventh edition of the Zaxby’s Heart of Dallas Bowl will be played Tuesday, Dec. 27 at Cotton Bowl Stadium. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. CT (noon ET) and the contest will be televised by ESPN. The Zaxby's Heart of Dallas Bowl is the first bowl game in the country to honor First Responders. Groups to be honored during the game include firefighters, police and EMS personnel. Tributes are taking place each quarter with presentations throughout the game. The pre-game fan fest also brings together First Responder groups from all over North Texas, with a tailgate showcasing hardware units and community organizations.
